With dramatic bluffs that drop into endless Pacific Blues, Redwoods that reach to infinity, and wonderfully temperate weather, the Bay Area is my kinda place. Here’s some eye candy -aka- visual justification for my travelust.
There was a time that I only imagined traveling to sexy exotic locales like the French Riveria, Venice and Paris. While there’s still something to be said for a trip like that, I’ve developed an affinity for the random little places in the world that most people overlook. As such, I’ve always been a little curious about Iceland. Photos of the terrain have always reminded me of a surreal interpretation of moon rocks and moss. Little did I know that nestled in the darkness at the shoreline near my dinner table at San Francisco’s Cliff House sat the ruins of the old Sutro Baths, an upscale water park built in the late 1890′s by former mayor Adolph Sutro.Here’s a little eye candy (aka High-Def video) for you to see how stunning it is for yourself.
